Girls empowerment and personal development training for Middle School

The training sessions for Grade 5–8 girls, initiated by the Gender Club, aimed to empower students through knowledge, guidance, and peer support in both personal and academic development. Conducted between March 26 and April 4, 2026, each two-hour session was tailored to the specific grade level. The training focused on key areas such as personal well-being, puberty awareness, healthy relationships, hygiene, academic improvement, and the use of counseling services. A peer-led approach, facilitated by senior female students, encouraged strong engagement through interactive discussions, experience sharing, anonymous questions, and open Q&A sessions. The student trainers were prepared in advance with guidance on facilitation skills, communication, and content delivery.

The school counselor provided continuous support by guiding the trainers, contributing professional input, and reinforcing key messages. The sessions had a positive impact, increasing students’ awareness, confidence, and willingness to discuss personal and academic concerns. There was also a noticeable improvement in students’ use of counseling services. Overall, the training successfully achieved its objectives and contributed to creating a more supportive and informed student community.
