Head of School

Welcome to the 2024-2025 Academic Year!

I am thrilled to rejoin the Dandii Boru School community as the Head of School. Working with children and seeing them use their full potential as they progress to the next level is always my pleasure.

As we celebrate 30 years of existence as a school, we are proud of the many accomplishments the school has achieved in the education sector. Over the years, the school has nurtured students who have metamorphosed from naive children to young responsible citizens. Our students have continued to achieve outstanding results in Ethiopian national and regional exams. This is a testimony of our commitment to our vision of being a competitive and prominent academic institution.

Our hardworking school leaders and dedicated teachers have significantly contributed to making Dandii Boru School a renowned center of academic excellence. This could also not have been possible without the immense support from our parents, guardians, and the community at large.

Having excelled in the Ethiopian national curriculum over three decades, we are excited that we are now transitioning to an international curriculum but still retaining aspects of our national curriculum. We have chosen the Cambridge International Education curriculum because of its many advantages including flexibility in curriculum design for schools. Adopting a well-known international curriculum will enable us to produce global students who will also be proud of their Ethiopian background. This is a major step that will require the cooperation of all the DBS stakeholders including the staff, parents, and students.
In preparation for this important transition, we have completed the first phase of staff development training on international curriculum implementation. We are also putting together our resources to ensure we fulfilli the Cambridge accreditation requirements and to give our school an international outlook.

I believe we will all walk this journey together to see Dandii Boru School become a premier international school.
